An exciting opportunity to join a pro-active, fun and friendly team supplying local businesses with a variety of confectionery and soft drinks. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full-time employment and progress to higher level qualifications.

Duties to include

  • Stock control
  • Order receiving
  • Customer Service
  • Processing, labelling and boxing.
  • Will be dispatching goods
  • Keeping the work area clean and tidy.
  • Taking photos of stock and updating website and sharing on social media
  • Handling telephone and in-person enquiries and booking orders

Working week

Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm Half hour for lunch 2 x 15 min breaks Please note hours will be reduced to under 40pw if under 18 yrs old
Total hours per week: 42.5

Desired qualifications

GCSE in Maths and English C/4 or equivalent

Training to be given

  • You will gain your Level 2 in Supply Chain Warehouse
  • You are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, as relevant to your role and setting. This could include mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or fork lift trucks.
  • The course length is 12 – 18 months
  • Learning will be blended with in-house at the place of work and online

Throughout your apprenticeship you will be directly employed by The Apprenticeship Works and based at the host employer. This host employer has been established as the Midlands leading cake, biscuit and crisps cash and carry wholesaler for over 50 years. This is a family business passed down through generations and are looking to find the right person to join the friendly team and grow within their role with the support of the team.

Things to consider

This job will require you to be active for the majority of the day and also require you to be physically fit. The company is looking for an all rounder to help with various roles. Possibility to complete Fork Lift Truck training. Close proximity to bus stops and Sandwell & Dudley train station, if you drive, there is ample free parking on site.
