Traineeships

A traineeship is a course with work experience that gets you ready for work or an apprenticeship. It can last from 6 weeks up to 1 year, though most of our traineeships last between 6 and 12 weeks.

Currently we offer Traineeships in Construction, Healthcare, Childcare, Administration, IT & Digital, Leather Manufacturing and Logistics. Check out the details below. And we’re adding new courses all the time.

You Can Apply If You’re:

  • Currently unemployed and have little or no work experience
  • Aged 16 to 24 and qualified up to and including Level 3 (equivalent to A Level)
Traineeships For 16-24 Year Olds

As Well As Valuable Vocational Training, You’ll Get:

  • Help with getting a job. We have local employers who want to recruit young people into high quality permanent roles
  • A work placement of 70 hours or more, to try out different roles and companies, to find the right one for you, and build up your CV
  • Help with the skills you’ll need for the apprenticeship or job in the area you want to work in
  • A job interview for a genuine vacancy or feedback from your placement employer
  • Help with English, maths and basic digital skills (if you need it)

During your Traineeship we will provide help with expenses such as travel costs and meals. Your placement employer may also offer a incentive for completing the course.
