Learning For Individuals

Every young person now has to stay in education or training until they reach 18.

But this does not necessarily mean staying at school. Every young person has a choice about how they continue in education or training post-16. This includes Traineeships and Apprenticeships as well as going to college.

Your options include

  • Traineeships are new and offer young people between 16-24 as route into Apprenticeships, Employment and a career.
  • Apprenticeships are available for 16-18 year olds and for adults aged 19 and over. An Apprenticeship delivers quality assured training at level 2 and level 3.
  • Higher Apprenticeships offer courses up to Level 5 in a range of specialist areas.
  • The Apprenticeship Works find quality employment opportunities for young people to climb the career ladder.

There are a whole range of career opportunities available outside of the classroom.
